The newly refurbished Empress Suite is situated on the third (top) floor of the Connaught Leisure Complex and is served by both a lift and wide staircase.
This elegant, self-contained banqueting suite with its own dance floor, private bar and roof terrace has superb panoramic views of the coast.
It provides an ideal venue for any function for all occasions, including weddings, dinner-dances, conferences and family celebrations.
The Empress Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests for a formal meal and up to 150 for an individual buffet.
Our extensive menu and drink selections are designed to suit all tastes and budgets. Those shown are only suggestions and can be adjusted to suit your personal taste and budget.

NUMBERS
The Empress Suite can cater for up to 120 persons for a sit down meal, or for an informal buffet it can hold 150 persons.
HIRE CHARGE
Should you wish to hire the room only with no catering, our charges are as follows:
Sunday- Thursday £400.00
Friday/Saturday £500.00
CATERING
As a guide to catering a three course meal ranges
from £29.50- per head.
Finger buffet prices start from £12.50 per head.
If the catering number exceeds 100 persons, the hire charge is £200
Should your catering numbers drop below 100 persons the following room charges will apply:
80 - 100 £250.00
60 - 80 £350.00
BAR
The Empress Suite has its own private bar. Drinks will be served to your table throughout the duration of your meal.
WINES
Basic drinks packages start at £8.25 per head and include:
Arrival drinks (e.g., Bucks Fizz)
One glass of red/white house wine with your meal
Sparkling wine for the toast
A selection of wines by the bottle can be made available by arrangement.
Alternateively you may like the idea of bringing in your own wine and for this our corkage charge is £8.00 per bottle. Champagne is charged at £10.00 per bottle. This is to make for lost sales and includes storage, chilling and service.
ENTERTAINMENT
We can arrange a disco, live music and other various types of entertainment. You are, of course, welcome to arrange your own entertainment.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSIT
We will take a provisional booking and hold that date for 14 days. Thereafter we ask an initial deposit of £300.00 made payable to Empress Catering. This deposit will be deducted from your final invoice, which is paybale 10 days prior to the event.
